Continued from folio 37 (D25595) is a view of the town of Brough in Cumbria seen from the road to the north. On the present page are depicted the tower of the parish church of St Michael and, to its left, the snaking course of Swindale Beck. There is also, with the sketchbook turned to the right, a small sketch of the nearby folly, Fox Tower (see folio 34; D25589), as seen from the same spot, though now looking north-west. There is a very similar sketch of Fox Tower at the top-left of folio 37 verso (D25596), which also includes a view of Brough with the castle and church.
