This garden scene has not been identified. It shows a garden enclosed by hedges with a large monument or fountain at the left and three of four figures standing and sitting around. If this sketch was made during Turner’s 1831 tour, it may be related to his time spent with Sir Walter Scott and his publisher Robert Cadell, who may be included in the picture.
