Drawn with a rather cautious hand is a sketch of Blackfriar’s Bridge over the River Irwell at Manchester with what is either a shot tower or a chimney (perhaps of one of Manchester’s many cotton mills) beyond to the left. There are associated sketches on folios 19, 34 verso–37 and 65 verso (D25674, D25703D25708, D25761).
