This faint sketch is the fourth composition on grey-washed paper of Lincluden Collegiate Church from the Cluden Water. The composition is similar to folio 90 verso (D25924), though the church is only roughly blocked in, with more attention paid to the shallow, rocky banks of the river.
The sketch is smudged and parts of the grey wash have turned brown, suggesting that it may have suffered minor water damage, or have been overexposed to light.
