Accepted by the nation as part of the Turner Bequest 1856
David Wallace-Hadrill and Janet Carolan have identified this sketch as showing the east end of Loch Katrine.1 The view is probably from the landing at the east end of the loch, looking north-west between Ben A’an at the right and the slopes of Ben Venue at the left.
