As Turner has noted at the right of this sketch, this view shows the ‘landing to the head’ of Loch Katrine. The landing (see folio 26; D26486) is shown at the left, and the view looks north from the east end of the loch to the hills along the north shore with Ellen’s Isle (Eilean Molach) and the promontory of Am Priosan. At the bottom of the page is a sketch of the mountain of Ben Venue inscribed ‘B V’ as seen from the west.
