There are three sketches on this page, the top two of which continue on folio 64 verso (D26563). The top and bottom sketches both include a full ‘moon’ low in the sky at the right. At the left of the top sketch is a bridge with two visible arches and hills in the distance. If the sketch on folio 64 verso is really of Loch Ard then these sketches may have been made at the nearby village of Aberfoyle which has a bridge like this (see also folio 66; D26566). However, it is not certain that Turner went as far as Loch Ard and Aberfoyle in 1831, though he certainly did visit the area in 1834.
