It is not clear how many sketches there are on this page as several may overlap. A small, boxed-off thumbnail sketch drawn with the book inverted near the page gutter (the gutter being at the top of the page in this instance) may depict the Paps of Jura as seen from above Port Askaig on the island of Islay. The Paps are seen again in the sketch beneath this, which shows the coastline of Jura from Islay with the Paps at the right. It is not clear whether the drawing beneath (which takes up about two thirds of the page) is the same sketch or separate, but even if it is a separate sketch it may also depict Islay, perhaps Loch Finlaggan as seen from the hill to the west (see folio 70 verso; D26575).
