Across this and the opposite sketchbook page (folio 19; D26655) are rough sketches of hilly shorelines. Presumably sketched from the deck of a steamboat, there are numerous places that these sketches could depict such as Loch Lomond, which is depicted on the reverse of this page (folio 18; D26653), or the Clyde Estuary, which is depicted on folio 19 verso (D26656).
