This view of Inverlochy Castle near Fort William was made from across the River Lochy to the north. To the left of the castle is Meall an t-Suidhe, one of the foothills of Ben Nevis, though the summit of the mountain can not be seen; it was presumably hidden by cloud. At the bottom of the page, drawn with the sketchbook inverted, is a sketch that looks similar to the drawing on folio 13 (D26768), a view south down Loch Linnhe from Corpach. The mast of a boat is included in the foreground with a horizontal structure that may be a canal lock.
