From the promontory at the south-east of the island of Kerrera we look across the bay of Port a’ Chroinn to Glyen Castle, which stands on a crag to the north-west. Beyond the castle we look along the southern coast of Kerrera to the Isle of Mull.
Turner made eleven sketches from around this point (folios 68–73; D26874–D26884), and twenty-five of the castle in total (folios 63 verso–75 verso; D26865–D26889).
