Urquhart Castle is seen in this sketch from the south-east with the tower house at the right and other castle buildings to its left. The view is similar to the sketch at the top of folio 21 (D27002) and to another on folio 11 verso (D26983). Above the sketch is a smaller, fainter sketch of the outline of the castle standing on a promontory on the western shore of Loch Ness.
For further information and references to other sketches of the castle, see folio 19 (D26998).
