Continued from folio 42 verso (D27038), this sketch shows a view from the bridge above the Falls of Foyers. The parapet of the bridge is drawn faintly as two parallel diagonal lines at the bottom of the page, and the River Foyers can be seen between slender trees at the centre of the present page where it flows into Loch Ness. Turner made a number of sketches from this vantage point (folios 41 verso–43; D27036–D27039), and just over twenty sketches in total during his visit to Foyers (see folio 40 verso; D27034 for details).
