Drawn at the top of the page with the foredge of the page at the top are two quick sketches of views of a landscape with trees and a tower labelled ‘Road’. The second sketch includes a narrow tower that somewhat resembles sketches of Douglas Old Castle as depicted elsewhere in this sketchbook (for example folio 22 verso; D26302).
With the sketchbook turned in the opposite direction is a list, written by Turner in pencil, of numbers, which are perhaps accounts. The list reads as follows:
