This drawing, treated as a separate and unidentified scene by Finberg, is actually an unusually wide continuation of the distant view of Durham from the east on folio 13 recto (D12333), made with that page pushed back so far that this portion of the scene, the rising ground between the River Wear and Gilesgate to its north, occupies more than half the width of the page. It is the last of a continuous run of drawings of Durham, beginning on folio 6 recto (D12325), with one further sketch on folio 76 verso (D12414).
