This is the basis for the finished watercolour executed for Viscount Malden, mentioned in the list of ‘Order’d Drawings’ near the beginning of this sketchbook (D40557) as ‘Cascade’ (Victoria and Albert Museum, London).1 See folios 48 recto, 50 recto, 51 recto and 52 recto (D00603, D00605–D00607; Turner Bequest XXVI 49, 51, 52, 53) for further drawings made at Hampton Court.
