This page contains several sketches of mountainous views. The precise locations are currently unidentified although the uppermost vista clearly depicts a bridge beside a small church or building. They possibly represent views of the descent on the Italian side from the Pass of Mont Cenis towards Susa.1 Turner has also made a series of thumbnail sketches of figures annotated with notes on colour and local costume.
