The rock walk at Hackfall is a path cut through crags above the right bank of the River Ure, just downstream of Mowbray Castle. The path can be seen to the left, and in the centre of the composition we look upstream to Fisher’s Hall, with the Banqueting Hall on the hilltop to the left. This is the last in a sequence of studies in the area, and the highest and most northerly of the series.
