This sketch is taken from the right bank of the River Ure. It is perhaps continued to the left on folio 13 verso opposite (D11463). The sketch on folio 15 recto (D11465), is a more distant view from the same bank, while the Yorkshire 2 sketchbook has another, from a closer viewpoint on the same bank (Tate D11270; Turner Bequest CXLV 135a).
