This is the right half of a double-page spread continued to the right from folio 50 verso (D10960), opposite, recording the view from the north-west of Middleham, towards Middleham Bridge, looking along the River Ure to Middleham Church and Castle. It is taken from a slightly nearer viewpoint to the previous sketch across folios 49 verso–50 (D10958–D10959).
