This is the left half of a double-page spread continued to the right on folio 58 (D10975), opposite, recording the view of Middleham Castle and town from the east near Ulshaw Bridges, with Penhill top left. The panorama is effectively continued to the right, albeit from a slightly more distant viewpoint to take in Ulshaw Bridges themselves, on folio 58 verso (D10976).
