This page has an assortment of architectural details at Knaresborough, including (in the main sketch) a detailed study of Knaresborough Castle from the south, plus another aspect of the castle perhaps from the north-west beyond the High Bridge as also sketched in the Yorkshire 3 sketchbook (Tate D11419; Turner Bequest CXLVI 31), St John’s Church from the east, and a detail of an arch of the castle.
There is an impression of an inscription offset from folio 105 (D11039), opposite. The page has been detached from the sketchbook at some time and has been restored to it with tissue.
