Turner here records a view of Lindley Hall (top left) and Lindley Bridge (lower right) from a viewpoint near the Farnley to Lindley Road. He sketched almost exactly the same view on another page in the same sketchbook (D11985: Turner Bequest CLII 10).
At the bottom left there is a small and somewhat hurried second sketch of a valley, squeezed in to the corner of the page, and inverted in relation to the main sketch. This was not noticed by Finberg, and probably records the view up the Washburn Valley from near Lindley Bridge.
