Inverted relative to the sketchbook’s foliation, the significance of this date (clearly retrospective in view of the sketchbook’s 1827 watermark) and the names which follow has yet to be established. There are other names inscribed on folio 19 recto opposite (D22355), one of which may be ‘Rougets’, perhaps a variation on the third here.
