This Midlands subject, inverted relative to the sketchbook’s foliation, currently remains unidentified. The main drawing appears to comprise a church with a spire by a bridge. It is unclear whether the view is continuous with the colonnaded building, trees and bridge to the right, while there are separate studies of a spire and a Gothic church above, probably showing different aspects of the church fist mentioned. There is a very slight continuation to the left on folio 21 recto opposite (D22359).
