With the page turned vertically, the upper half is taken up with a view of Peveril Castle from the north-west, above the ravine leading to Peak Cavern. At the top left is a continuation of the valley to the left, with the tower of Castleton’s St Edmund’s Church. For other views of the castle, village and cave, see under folio 1 verso (D22152).
