The view is north-west across the River Dee, with Chester Castle above the Old Dee Bridge and the nearby weir, from the bank near Mill Street and Salmon Leap. To the right of the bridge is the arch through the city walls leading to Lower Bridge Street. Compare the view from higher up on folio 62 verso opposite (D22266).
