Drawn with the page turned horizontally, this is one of two drawings made at Fountains in this book: the other is on folio 11 recto (D01082; Turner Bequest XXXV 80). Another sheet showing a detail of these ruins is in the contemporary North of England sketchbook (Tate D01000; Turner Bequest XXXV 89).
