The principal drawing, a very rough and slight delineation of Huy taken from the Liège road in the surrounding hillside, extends across the page with the sketchbook turned horizontally. Turner has suggested the structure of the Collegiate Church of Notre-Dame and the citadel behind it. The bridge traversing the Meuse has been loosely marked out in the foreground. At the bottom left corner of the page is a small sketch of Huy taken from the road leading to the hamlet of La Sarte.
