Here Turner has four slight sketches of the village of Bernkastel and the ruins of Landshut Castle which presides over it. With the book orientated horizontally, Turner has taken a summary view of Bernkastel with a detail of the Landshut below it. With the sketchbook orientated inversely to the foliation, there are two views of Bernkastel from the neighbouring town of Graach.
