This swiftly wrought sketch depicts a few of the townspeople of Koblenz at the Moselle waterfront below the bridge. The twin towers of the Basilica of St Castor can be seen in the middle distance at right and beyond, atop the cliff, is the profile of the Ehrenbreistein citadel.
