Harlech Castle, North Wales, a finished watercolour for the Picturesque Views in England and Wales series (private collection),1 engraved in 1836 (Tate impressions: T04606, T06120), was based on this drawing. See the note on folio 60 recto (D01294; Turner Bequest XXXVIII 42).
