Accepted by the nation as part of the Turner Bequest 1856
Finberg suggested that the view, drawn with the page turned horizontally, is ‘Probably the Vale of Ffestiniog, from near Tan y Bwlch’,1 but revised this opinion later as ‘Probably not’.2
