Here Turner has recorded small cloud and sky studies, similar to those on the folio opposite (Tate D19581; Turner Bequest CCXVI 15a), as well as swift sketches of a bridge, a ‘barque’, two figures, and a ‘Soldier fishing’ before some buildings on the coast.
