These finely rendered drawings depict various buildings at Trier, recorded by Turner from a vantage point on the hillsides of Pallien (inscribed ‘Palli’ at top left). Included within the views are the Martinskloster and Altekrahnen, St Gangolf’s Church, the Roman Bridge, and Pallien’s Church of Saints Simon and Jude with and a detail of the same church’s spire at bottom left.
