This slight sketch, rendered with the book turned upside down, depicts the fifteenth-century Saint-Vulfran Church at Abbeville. Turner draws the church from its western façade, showing part of the exterior flying buttresses at left. The artist has inscribed the words ‘[?Ligrais]’ and ‘Vulran’ below the drawing.
