Verso:
Blank. There are grey wash smears along edge of sheet; Finberg noted a subsequent ‘Leaf torn out; has contained monochrome wash drawing’ (see the notes on missing leaves in the sketchbook’s Introduction). The marks are evidently of a piece with the grey wash studies on folios 7 verso (D01920) and on folios 48 recto and 51 recto (D01987, D01990; Turner Bequest XLV 47, 50).
