Inverted relative to the sketchbook’s foliation, this summary sketch seems to be an idea for a composition layout based on the study on folio 37 verso (D02656). It is possible that folios 37 recto and 38 recto (D02655, D02657) present a similar pairing. The subject may be Roslin, which is the apparent location of drawings on folios 39 verso–49 verso of this book (D02660–D02679).
