Like the drawing on folio 41 verso opposite (D02664), this does not seem to show Roslin Castle and may rather be a view of Hawthornden Castle, a mile downstream on the North Esk River. Views at or near Roslin occupy folios 39 verso–49 verso (D02660–D02679) of this book.
