The drawing is inverted relative to the sketchbook’s foliation. Other views of Rievaulx are on the versos of folios 103, 104, 105 and 106, and 108 recto (D02786, D02788, D02790, D02792, D02795). There is a further drawing of the ruins on folio 1 recto (D02614), under which the subject is discussed.
Technical notes:
Finberg noted a ‘Leaf cut out’ after this page, which is probably now bound as folio 108 (D02795);1 it is one of the Rievaulx subjects mentioned above.
