Made with the pages turned horizontally, the subject is continued on folio 139 recto opposite (D03180; Turner Bequest LVI 137), and is probably the Falls of the Bran at the Hermitage, near Dunkeld, with which Turner had been occupied on the preceding three openings of this sketchbook, folios 135 verso–138 recto (D03173–D03178; Turner Bequest LVI 133a–134, 134a–135, 135a–136).
