Inverted relative to the sketchbook’s foliation, the upper register shows a group of yachts, most of which are only indicated by their sails. Below to the right is a study of a man standing up in a small rowing boat; and towards the bottom left is the outline of the masts and yards of a moored sailing boat, drawn with the page turned vertically.
