Inverted relative to the sketchbook’s foliation, this view of distant Channel coast cliffs is briefly annotated, apparently with a diagonal line to mark the feature in question, although it is yet to be identified. There is a brief continuation on folio 12 recto opposite (D35509). See the sketchbook’s Introduction for the many slight coastal views scattered through it.
