Made with the page turned vertically, this rapid sketch of a spacious, shadowy Gothic interior has been identified by Ian Warrell as showing the Collegiate Church of Notre-Dame and Saint-Laurent, Eu1 (see under folio 21 verso; D35525). Compare watercolour views in the Eu and Tréport sketchbook (Tate D35442, D35445; Turner Bequest CCCLIX 7, 10), used on the same tour. The slighter drawings on folios 63 verso, 64 recto and 68 verso (D35600, D35601, D35608) may show other aspects, or possibly the Church of Saint-Wulfran, Abbeville (see under folio 48 recto; D35571).

See Warrell 2014, p.228.
Technical notes:
There is some brown staining at the gutter, possibly indicating water damage in the 1928 Tate flood.
