Inverted relative to the sketchbook’s foliation, there is a rapid study of a harbour and lighthouse with cliffs beyond, presumably on a Channel coast; the drawing continues on folio 92 recto opposite (D35652). See the sketchbook’s Introduction for the many slight coastal views scattered through it.
Below, the other way up, is a coastal view with a steamer off shore. It also continues opposite, where there may be a note relating to St Leonards-on-Sea, adjacent to Hastings in East Sussex.
