At the top left is part of a hurried view of Eu, looking north-west past the Collegiate Church of Notre-Dame and Saint-Laurent along Place Isabelle d’Orléans to the roofline of the Château d’Eu; most of the drawing is on folio 102 verso opposite (D35672), with just the outline of the east end of the church here. For other views, see under folio 21 verso (D35525).
Below is a study of the skyline of Roman ruins at Richborough Castle, near Sandwich in Kent; see under folio 95 recto (D35658) for others views.
Technical notes:
There is some brown staining at the gutter, possibly indicating water damage in the 1928 Tate flood.
