As identified by Finberg, this sketch is part of a detailed drawing made predominantly on the facing page, folio 15 recto (D17389). For a full discussion of the composition, see the entry for that page. The portion visible here displays a section of river bank topography at far left of the prospect. The sweeping line closest to the bottom of the sheet indicates the shoreline.
