With the sketchbook turned horizontally, Turner filled this page with a view of the Quai des Lances in the Brittany town of Morlaix, with the tower of the Church of Saint-Melaine rising above the rooftops. Morlaix features on multiple pages in this volume, a list of which is included in the sketchbook introduction.
