With the sketchbook turned horizontally, Turner filled this page with riverside views at Nantes. The drawing across the centres of the page depicts the Bourse and the Île Feydeau. Along the top edge of the page can be seen the public baths and the quays of the Île Gloriette. The pages of this volume feature many depictions of this Brittany city, a list of which is included in the sketchbook introduction.
