Inverted in relation to the sketchbook as foliated, this sketch depicts a distant view of Rouen as seen from the high ground to the north of the city. The drawing continues onto folio 16 recto (D24105; Turner Bequest CCLV 16). Rouen is the main subject of the drawings in this volume.
